If you are submitting a new or renewal liquor license application, please allow ample time for it to be processed. The commissioners typically meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, so a good rule of thumb would be to mail your application 6-8 weeks before your current license expiration date.

UPDATE:  UT Liquor License Application(s) Changed to Online Submittal Only

The State has changed the way liquor license applications will be submitted and reviewed.  Starting October 28, 2024, the State of Maine will no longer accept paper applications for liquor licenses.  All applicants will now be required to submit their applications through their new system; BELLS and you pay the State fee online. (https://alcohol.maine.gov) You will still be required to send your $10 fee to the County to go along with the Review/Approval email we receive from the State prior to the application being approved by the County Commissioners.
